All mine are through to the quater-finals, and it looks like it's sewn up for me already.

Feb 12, 2008 5:11 pm

Whoops, the last post was from me. To make it clearer, these are my picks Marseille - Gasquet (after changing my mind a million times) Brazil - Moya Delray Beach - Blake

Feb 12, 2008 5:09 pm

Ok, here goes. Just one difference from Wolfie! Marseille - Gasquet (after changing my mind a million times) Brazil - Moya Delray Beach - Blake

Feb 12, 2008 11:12 am

Marseille - Youzhny Brazil - Moya Delray Beach - Blake Blake should walk an easy Delray Beach draw, Marseille was a tough one but I went for one of the most consistent players on the tour, Youzhny. Brazil is a tough one as all the players are clay court specialists which I don't have much knowledge of, so I just went for the obvious one.

Feb 12, 2008 8:48 am

Delray Beach: Blake Marseille: Tsonga Costa do Sauipe: Andreev Thought about taking the home team in all three, and picking Guga in Brazil, but the head overruled the heart.

Ok guys this is what we are going to do. We are going to give away two racquets. One to an American and one to a European. Out of the four winners please pick one player from each event. If your player wins you get 16 points, if he finals 8 points, halving each round. We will add up the points and the highest from each continent will win. The three tournaments are Costa de Saupe, Marseille and Delray Beach. Picks will be allowed up until the start of play tomorrow. (Wednesday). Good luck

Thanks Ash. Well done everyone!

Feb 10, 2008 11:34 am

Congrats to the five winners. We are going to have to make these contests more difficult. The winners from what I can see are : Iron Ranger Jason Less Xenon Wolf Granny Unfortunately we don't have five racquets to give away so will come up with a tiebreaker in the next few days. Thanks to all you guys for entering and following the great sport of tennis this weekend. Stay posted for the tiebreaker and additional contests

Feb 8, 2008 9:39 am

you feel sorry for serbia - try live scoring roddicks match 3 and half hours long and into the 5th set i hate clay !!!

Feb 8, 2008 9:14 am

Oh, come on, Serbia (and not in the Lleyton Hewitt way)! I feel really bad for everyone who picked them to win (myself included). Nole is sick now too, and missed singles today! Zimo has already lost to Youzhny, and Victor Troicki is down 2 sets to 1 against Davydenko. That, as my wife would say, is Bad News Bears.

Feb 7, 2008 2:34 pm

Great competition :) I'm going to go for: Serbia Czech Republic Argentina Israel Germany Spain France USA Australia

Feb 7, 2008 12:19 pm

Oh, man, I just read that Janko "Beauty will save the World" Tipsaravic (one of my favorite players) won't be playing on Friday due to a stomach virus. He might be able to play on Sunday, should he be needed, but my confidence in my Serbia pick just went from shaky to paraplegic. I'm going to stick with it, but there goes my dream of Nole loosing both his singles and Janko winning both of his and the doubles with Zimo, thereby becoming the new Serbian Superstar. I think he's way more deserving of admiration. Too bad the rankings and results don't match with my bias.

Mine was the entry prior to Fish which didn't have a name by it. Forgot to sign in, here are my picks again to save confusion. Serbia Czech Republic Agentina Israel Germany Spain France USA Australia

Feb 6, 2008 6:11 pm

My picks are Russia (real tough one to choose and I agree that the doubles match may be the pivotal tie) Czech Republic Argentina (cries) Sweden Germany Spain France USA Australia

Feb 6, 2008 4:23 pm

Fantastic and good luck everyone. My picks Serbia Czech Republic Argentina Sweden Germany Spain France USA Australia

Feb 6, 2008 4:01 pm

I picked Russia to win because they are more experienced, it is at home, and I don't know if Nole can play as good as he did at the Aussie Open. I hope the USA wins 5-0, haha!! Peru was my upset special. Horna is a decent clay court player, and it is not Verdasco's best surface and Ferrer is out. We'll see what happens. Thanks for running this!

Feb 6, 2008 3:50 pm

ah you see i was gonna go for serbia buttttt saffy is back for russia as a leader he'll hold the team together .. oo can i just add gooooo usa!!!!! haha

Feb 6, 2008 3:06 pm

I am excited to see so many of you guys particapating. Whoever wrote before me should identify themselves. The tie that I find most interesting is Russia/Serbia. I am looking forward to seeing if Djokovic can continue with his brilliant form from Melbourne. Going into Russia and beating Davydenko and Youzhny will make a statement to Federer that he really is ready to step up and battle for the number 1 spot. Pivotal match in this tie will be the doubles. Enjoy the contest and the great weekend of tennis.

Wow, that's a fantastic racquet! Way more than I could justify buying for myself at the level I play, but I sure wouldn't complain if I won it. And I live in Rochester, so I could just pick it up at your house, Eric, or at the RTC. Anyway here are my picks. Serbia Czech Republic Argentina Sweden Germany Spain France (Go Richard!) USA Australia I think a fair tie break would be the number of times posting on the site, though I'm pretty sure that would eliminate me, since I've only posted about 3 times now. (I'm you're traditional lurker, so when I do finally post, I can't shut up. See!)
